The Camp Store Associate is responsible for operating our merchandise locations. This position requires the ability to work in a fast paced and fun environment. The Pro Shop Associate is responsible for operating our hardgoods and merchandise locations. This position requires the ability to work on scooters, skateboards and bikes. You may be assigned to either location based on your qualifications. This position will also include assisting in our end of season inventory

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Have extensive product knowledge, skills, and ability to make appropriate suggestions to guests. Knowledgeable in retail sales and operations Ability to apply sales techniques, merchandising and implement sales strategies Cleaning the store throughout the day, before opening and after closing Completing opening and closing procedures Ability to utilize a POS system and software Fill in and support in other areas as needed Carry out safety protocols & processes in areas Other duties as assigned PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES Be punctual and prepared to greet and serve guests in a cordial, professional manner with a smile and positive attitude. Staff should dress neatly, modestly in a professional manner, appropriate for the daily duties and in compliance for health and safety standards. Ability to remain calm under pressure Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with moderate supervision, agile and able to pivot quickly. Exhibits initiative, responsibility and accountability. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SPECIAL SKILLS Experience: High school degree or equivalent preferred Customer Service Experience Knowledge of retail operations experience Knowledge of merchandising techniques Health and Safety Certifications: Pennsylvania Mandated Reporter Certification NFHS Student Mental Health & Suicide Prevention Certification Strong interpersonal skills. Able to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. Ability to implement ideas. BASIC REQUIREMENTS/SCHEDULE Physical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, lift 50lbs. Dedicated to being prompt and timely Adhere to all workplace safety practices, expectations, and guidelines Must be comfortable working in an indoor and outdoor all-season environment. Ability to work weekends, holidays & Evenings Staff housing may be provided during employment based on employee needs As a requirement of this position, pre-hire criminal history clearances are collected from the Pennsylvania State Police (PATCH) system, child abuse clearances are obtained through the Department of Public Welfare, and federal history is taken through FBI fingerprint screening.
