Job Type Full-timeDescriptionBreakfast Cook/BakerGreat Western Dining is currently looking to add a Breakfast Cook/Baker to our team. Includes opening the kitchen, prepping-cooking-serving breakfast. This position also includes some baking responsibility. Basic cooking skills are preferred. But we will train the right person.Reporting to the Chef, a Breakfast Cook/Baker ensures our clients are delivered an exceptional culinary experience by producing a variety of baked goods and providing a quality morning meal centered around the classic biscuits and gravy/sausage and eggs combo. Responsibilities:Direct preparation, seasoning, and cooking of breakfastDemonstrate creativity in baking production as well as follow standard recipesAssist Chef with meal preparation, inventory management, and orderingAble to safely use, clean, and maintain all kitchen equipmentEnsure all daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks are completedAssist in unloading the grocery truckYou may be asked to; supervise, train, mentor, and direct other kitchen staffIf you posess any or ideally all of the following skills and qualifications, you will be considered for the position:Proven experience as cookGenuine interest in cookingKnowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipmentAbility to follow all sanitation proceduresAbility to adhere to all safety policies and procedures as per task, equipment usage, or PPE requirementsAbility to work in a team environmentVery good communication skillsGreat Western Dining Service is a forward-thinking food service management company that recognizes the profound impact of exceptional cuisine.
