Includes opening the kitchen, prepping-cooking-serving breakfast. This position also includes baking responsibility. Some basic cooking skills are preferred. But will train the right person.Reporting to the Food Service Director, a Breakfast Cook/Baker ensures our clients are delivered an exceptional culinary experience by producing a variety of baked goods and providing a great morning meal. Responsibilities:Participate in the preparation, seasoning, and cooking of breakfastDemonstrate creativity in baking production creating variety for each type of baked goodAssist Chef with meal preparation, inventory management, and orderingAccommodate various diets including vegetarian, vegan, cultural, food allergies, and other specific requestsAble to safely use, clean, and maintain all kitchen equipmentSupervise, manage, train, mentor, and direct other kitchen staffEnsure all daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks are completedAssist in unloading the grocery truckSkills and Qualifications:Proven experience as cook preferredKnowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipmentAbility to follow all sanitation proceduresAdhere to all safety policies and procedures as per task, equipment usage, or PPE requirementsAbility to work in a team environmentVery good communication skillsWe are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from all qualified individuals.RequirementsPhysical requirements of the job:Continuous walking and other means of mobilityAbility to reach, bend, stoop, push/pull and frequently lift/move up to 30 pounds
