As an Optometric Technician, you'll play a critical role in ensuring efficient patient care. You will assist our optometrists by conducting essential pre-screenings and tests before their examinations, helping to deliver the best possible eye care. No prior optical experience is necessary, as we provide comprehensive training! Enjoy a Work-Life Balance - We’re closed every Sunday! Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality patient care. Maintain a professional look and feel in the doctor's office and pretest room. Learn and understand ocular terminology and abbreviations. Clearly explain the preliminary examinations to patients. Complete necessary paperwork and perform testing on patients prior to examination. Encourage visual field testing and retinal screenings for eligible patients. Conduct pre-screenings for exams. Review prescriptions and patient information carefully to identify special needs, consulting the optician or doctor as needed. Ensure proper maintenance of all equipment. Are You the Right Fit? Fluent in English and Spanish. Previous experience in retail or optical is a plus, but not required. Strong customer service skills. Ability to learn and understand optical concepts. Clear and concise communication with customers. Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational abilities. Attention to detail. Effective multitasking and time management.
