The Nomo SoHo Kitchen has a very popular weekend brunch and a handcrafted cocktail program. We are looking for a knowledgeable, people-oriented Barista to join our F&B team. This caf is in our main guest lobby on the ground floor by the restaurant. Offering lattes, cappuccino, tea, soda, fresh cold-pressed juices, healthy shots, local craft beer, and wine. Here is what you will be doing: Taking and serving guest orders promptly and according to service standards set by the company. Making coffee-related beverages and servicing grab & go items. Answering guest questions about the selections. Informing guests of food allergens in selections. Operating the electronic cash register/P.O.S. system (where applicable). Performing side work duties. Minimum Qualifications: A minimum of 6 months of experience serving food in a restaurant. Food Handler Certification. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. A positive attitude towards providing exceptional guest service. Preferred Qualifications: Tips or ServSafe Training. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. A passion for our hospitality and guest service. Team Player: Works well as a member of a group. Desire to work in a busy restaurant with a bar. For applicants in NYC, the anticipated compensation range for the position is $17 - $19.00 per hour.
