JOB SUMMARY:

A Banquet Server is responsible for the set up and the service of all assigned banquet functions.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

* Set up banquet and event spaces according to the provided floor plans and specifications

* Ensure all tables, chairs, linens, and other event equipment are arranged correctly

* Greet and assist guests upon arrival, providing information about the event and venue facilities

* Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and professional manner

* Monitor and replenish food and beverage stations to ensure a continuous and high-quality service

* Collaborate with the kitchen and catering staff to coordinate timing of food service

* Clear tables and clean up after events, ensuring a neat and organized event space

* Handle guest requests and concerns promptly and professionally

* Work closely with the event coordinator to ensure seamless execution of events

* Adhere to all health and safety regulations while performing duties

* Maintain a positive and customer-focused attitude throughout the event

* Assist with event breakdown and cleanup after the conclusion of the event

* Attend pre-event meetings and trainings as required

* Follow proper uniform and grooming standards for a polished and professional appearance

* Stay informed about menu items and special dietary requests to accurately communicate information to guests.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.

* Previous experience as a banquet server or in a similar hospitality role

* Strong knowledge of banquet and event service procedures

* Excellent customer service and communication skills

* Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
