THE JOB
The Special Event’s Staff primary function is to deliver food and beverage to guests in a professional manner following all House of Blues standards.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
· Serving the host and guest of a party - all timelines and services must be met or exceeded to a four-star standard
· Serving buffets, sit-down, dinners, and hors d'oeuvres parties
· Setting tables with quality china, glass, silver, and following all details of event order
· Ensuring high standards by following service standards of department
· Exceeding customer expectations by anticipating service needs
· Organizing motions to maximize efficiency of set-up and service
· Ensuring creativity of buffets and day-to-day customer special needs
· Promoting an excellent work environment by following Standards of Excellence
· Providing hands-on activity with making of candelabras, sauced stations, and quality checks of room and individual tables
· Assignment requires working in areas with high-levels of background noise (bands, guests)
· Ensuring a safe working environment by following all work practices
Qualifications
KNOW HOW/EXPERIENCE:
Qualified candidates will have:
· Minimum of 2 years prior serving experience in a quality club/hotel/restaurant
· Knowledge of fine wines and food
· Strong listening and oral communication skills
· Strong interpersonal skills and a "customer first" mentality
· Demonstrated knowledge and ability to adhere to quality standards for safety, sanitation and food handling
· Act in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
· Must be willing to work weekend, holiday, and evening shifts
· Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lb
