Automotive Technician – Growing with a Seasoned Owner
C Level or General Service Technician
Willingness to Grow into an A/B Tech!
$18.00 - $20.00 Hourly
Monday - Friday!
Since 1990, this locally owned NAPA Auto Care Center has been keeping the community's rides running smoothly, with the same owner at the wheel since day one. With decades of experience as both a skilled technician and a shop owner, he knows the value of a good team—and he's looking to add one more.
This full-service shop runs Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, serving a mix of domestic (50%), European (25%), and Asian (25%) vehicles. It's a four-bay setup with four lifts, a Hunter Hawk Eye Alignment Machine, and plenty of modern shop technology, including NAPA Tracs, Auto Vitals for DVIs, and Kukui for CRM. While the shop doesn't have AC, two powerful Portacools keep the summer work environment more than manageable.
The next team member will be a C-level tech or GST with one to two years of experience—coachable, trainable, and ready to grow. The owner makes sure his people are taken care of, even during slower weeks, so no one's paycheck takes a hit.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have a year or two under their belt in automotive repair.
Be eager to learn, adapt, and grow in their skills.
Value teamwork and a positive shop culture.
Take pride in quality workmanship and care for customers' vehicles as if they were their own.
Ability to perform scheduled maintenance, oil changes, alignments (can be taught), brake jobs (can be taught), basic automotive repair experience / knowledge
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly rate: $18.00 - $20.00
$50/week toward employee's own medical, dental, or vision coverage after 90 days.
Paid Holidays – the big six, on the house.
PTO: One week after one year.
Training: Paid NAPA Auto Tech or WorldPac courses—if it makes them better, the owner's in.
Uniforms provided (just don't lose them).
Weekly pay, every Monday.
Extra Perks:
Shop closes one week in June and one week at Christmas for well-deserved downtime.
Direct mentorship from the owner himself, plus a friendly, tight-knit environment with no corporate red tape.
Hiring Process: A straightforward, in-person interview with the owner. If it's a fit, the decision comes fast. Communication is easy—text, phone, or email, with regular check-ins every other week.
This is the chance to work alongside a seasoned pro, build a career, and enjoy a shop that believes in taking care of its own.
