We are seeking a Claims Investigator who can conduct thorough investigations for moderate to high complexity cases in arbitration. This involves analyzing facts surrounding a loss to reach a recovery conclusion.
The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of P&C insurance industry products, services, and processes, including policy contracts and coverages, common law, contract law, state statutes, evidence, and damages.
Key Responsibilities
This role involves generating contentions that accurately illustrate the facts of loss to effectuate maximum indemnity recovery or defense based on thorough analysis of claim and applicable program rules.
The Claims Investigator will also be responsible for reimbursing policyholder's deductible after recovery is made.
In addition, this position requires serving as an arbitrator who reviews contentions and evidence submitted by multiple carriers and renders decisions that appropriately cite program rules and statutory language.
Requirements
A High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma is required for this position.
2 years claims adjusting experience is also necessary.
The Claims Investigator must acquire and maintain an insurance adjuster license within 90 days and designated number of attempts.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior Auto Subrogation or Auto Arbitration experience is highly desirable.
Three years of Claims Adjusting Experience is also preferred.
