Associate Process Engineer
Ingredion is hiring an Associate Process Engineer who will be responsible for managing the process engineering aspects of the plant to achieve Safety, Quality, Environmental, Production, and Cost goals. The following deliverables are expected of the Manager, IPS & Process Engineering:
What you will do:
- Provide leadership to ensure a safe work environment at the plant and the safe design and implementation of projects.
- Collaborate with operations management in developing and implementing methods to drive continuous improvement in systems and processes throughout the plant. Evaluate technological and process advances from around the Ingredion network and industry to assess applicability at the facility.
- Develop and maintain an organization that is highly skilled, motivated, and performs as a results-oriented team, ensuring the stability of current and future plant operations.
- Driving operational excellence via efficient plant design and continuous improvement in process, cost, quality, and production.
- Managing the process engineering team to drive continuous improvement and process innovation to meet or exceed production and cost goals, which in turn leads to meeting or exceeding plan profit performance.
- Establish clear and meaningful ambitious goals for the organization that are linked to the strategies for the corporation.
- Allocating process engineering resources to establish the best operational practices for plant processes.
- Supporting the process units with technical guidance to ensure process engineers develop technical skills and implement projects and process improvements that follow Ingredion and necessary industry standards.
- Collaborating with Global Process Engineering to optimize processes, troubleshoot operational issues, and resolve engineering problems.
- Driving continuous improvement and process innovation to meet or exceed production and cost goals, which in turn leads to meeting or exceeding plan profit performance.
- Establish clear and meaningful ambitious goals for the organization that are linked to the strategies for the corporation.
- Promoting a safe work environment and safe work practices as a plant staff leader at all levels of the organization. Integrate safety, environmental, and sustainability aspects into all process improvements.
- Establishing ambitious goals for personal and team accomplishment. Formulate measures and systems to monitor progress toward goal attainment. Initiate different and innovative approaches to addressing organizational opportunities.
- Evaluate technological and process advances from around the Ingredion network and industry to assess applicability at the site.
- Supporting IPS initiatives and Lean Six Sigma projects.
- Contributing to the Ingredion network with successful process enhancements and implementing improvements learned from other facilities to improve process performance.
- Directing, managing, and developing a team that is recognized as technical leaders in Ingredion.
- Provide opportunities to connect process engineers with process engineers at other sites as appropriate to facilitate team growth, development, and connection outside of their plant.
- Creating plans to ensure the development of technical bench strength for the future.
- Creating a team environment that delivers innovative process improvements and provides process troubleshooting to resolve complex facility issues.
- Assisting direct reports with appropriate coaching to build their skills and decision-making process.
- Completing effective performance appraisals for direct reports and giving regular and proper feedback.
- Developing leadership and management skills in the team required to foster commitment, accountability, and professionalism within an organization.

- Proven ability to manage multiple engineering activities and plans that align with business goals.

- Exceptional leadership and team-building capabilities in engineering and project management.
- Ability to understand and integrate technical and business needs into activities.
- Ability to identify connections between situations that are not obviously related, grasp key issues in complex situations and translate them into action plans.
Who you are:
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.
- 7-10 years of experience managing in manufacturing plant or operation within a plant.
- LSS or Six Sigma background, a plus.

Pay Range: $81,680.00-$108,906.67 Annual
This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).
Incentive Compensation: As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
