Position Summary
The position is responsible for safely filling and processing all inbound and outbound parts orders for the Parts Department for both internal and external customers. which provides parts support to all departments. The incumbent performs an array of duties not limited to, receiving, and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, organizing, and retrieving stock and other duties as assigned.
Position Duties/Responsibilities Primary Responsibilities:
Adhere to all safety rules, policies, and procedures.
Assist internal and external customers to establish positive, cooperative working relationships, including order placement, returns and backorders. This also includes filling and processing all inbound and outbound parts orders; picking, packing and shipping orders; delivering parts to both internal and external customers; and assisting with will-call.
Process daily stock which includes unloading inbound freight carriers; receipting, sorting, updating OAK locations; processing weekly and quarterly returns; processing credits, parts discrepancies and stock transfers; reorganizing storage to accommodate current stock; and performing daily physical inventory counts.
Complete paperwork for order shipments; perform daily maintenance duties; and complete the inventory count, including bin count reconciliation and daily physical reconciliation with accuracy and in a timely manner.
Perform related duties as required.

Position Requirements
Required:
High School diploma or GED
1 year or more experience of warehouse work-related experience in parts and/or an inventory related position
Ability to obtain a fork-lift certification
Preferred:
2 years or more experience of warehouse work-related experience in parts and/or an inventory related position.

The ability to be certified to operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment, including printers and shipping equipment.

Good customer service skills, including the ability to meet and/or exceed customer expectations.
Professional demeanor with both internal and external contacts including personal appearance and friendly, courteous treatment of peers and people at all levels inside and outside the organization
Moderate computer/systems skills experience with Enterprise Resource Systems (ERP), Inventory Systems, and the ability to learn CAT/MacAllister Cat systems.
Strong initiative, demonstrating a “self-starting” ability to daily work and proactively making improvements to the work process.
Ability to build and maintain effective customer and professional relationships through strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on relationship-building and consistent demonstration of solid professional judgment
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure, deadline driven environment
Ability to work overtime, evenings, and weekends as needed
Other Requirements of Position Works under immediate supervision. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform functions of the job.
Major responsibilities do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Detailed instructions or established procedures are usually available as guidelines for most aspects of the job.
If an error is made while in this position, it will require minimal effort to identify the error and minor impact the company financially.
Frequently maintains contact with division and department staff, customers, the public and employees of private sector organizations routinely. Occasionally, the incumbent will maintain contact with CAT employees, vendors, sales representatives and employees of public sector organizations.
Maintains equipment and supplies to avoid waste, damage to areas and equipment, and to prevent accidents.
