Mindgruve is seeking an Associate Director of Retail Media with demonstrated expertise managing and optimizing media campaigns on retail media networks and online marketplaces, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to tackle the challenges of an ever-evolving retail media landscape. We are seeking an experienced retail media professional who can drive strategy across paid search & programmatic advertising through retail media channels like Amazon, Walmart, Target, and other Retail Media Networks.
What You'll Do Here: Key Objectives:
Manage 2-3 strategic client accounts across Search and DSP
Provide oversight to retail media team and ensure teams are forthcoming with ideas, recommendations and insights which Brand Managers can relay to clients
Build strong ties between Mindgruve’s Media, Client Experience, Analytics & Creative Teams
Strategic Leadership (40%)
Obtain intimate understanding of Mindgruve’s client goals related to advertising & bring forward thinking ideas and strategies to the media & client experience teams
Guide media planning to ensure plans are thoughtful, cohesive and contextualized in our clients’ broader business objectives
“Think Big” and formulate outside-the-box media strategies for clients and work with internal teams to develop Media Proposals
Deliver media proposals to Mindgruve’s clients with confidence, empathy and a data-driven strategy
Work cross-departmentally to identify innovation opportunities to drive more intentional advertising campaigns and help our clients more effectively market to their target consumers

Operations & Management (40%)
Manage 2-3 strategic clients’ media strategy and execution, while delegating appropriate tasks to appropriate junior and mid-level Retail Media Team Members to nurture development
Attend key client meetings (remote and/or in person) when reviewing media plans/proposals, QBRs with select clients
Dissect media performance to identify additional optimization opportunities, strategic recommendations and impactful insights
Interpret and leverage holistic commerce data and insights to guide retail media strategy and execution
Guide teams’ routine audits and analyses of Search & Display advertising performance, strategy & future-looking plans to ensure Mindgruve is delivering cutting-edge retail media solutions
Innovation & Learning (20%)
Attend industry events to ensure Mindgruve remains at the forefront of Retail Media strategies and best-practices
Identify areas of opportunity for the teams to work better, faster, and smarter and present to Mindgruve leadership
Help investigate relevant advertising tools which can supplement or replace Mindgruve’s existing software partners
Identify additional revenue opportunities for Mindgruve via upselling additional capabilities or services
Help build and drive internal SOPs around retail media best practices, as well as training for team members
We Need a Person With: 4-6 years of significant experience in digital advertising strategy and execution
4-6 years hands-on Amazon and Walmart search & programmatic advertising experience
Comfortable working with large data sets to derive insights and recommendations
Deep understanding of the retail media & commerce landscape
Excellent written and spoken communication skills
Collaborative mentality and a people-first philosophy
Ability to think ‘outside the box’ and find creative methods to achieve/exceed client goals
Proven track-record of ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize appropriately
Self-motivated, detail oriented in a results-driven environment
Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
