Summary
As an Assistant Manager / Key Carrier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and supporting the Store Manager in the overall operation of the store to achieve company goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with hiring, training, and developing store team members as delegated by the Store Manager.
Assist with all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager.
Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, team members, and supervisors.
Keep all areas of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
When the Store Manager is not present, assume supervisory responsibility for all hourly team members.
Process all SSC Corporate directives.
Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
Help manage freight flow.
Meet or exceed productivity standards.
Assist in ordering and stocking merchandise.
Maintain stockroom organization.
Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily.
Implement directives from the Store Operations Weekly Bulletin.
Qualifications:
Prior retail and management experience preferred.
Effective communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs, and perform duties involving walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
