Position Summary:
Primary responsibilities include creating an environment that supports Volunteers as well as girls in our camps through by providing resources that support their ability to ensure the ability to provide girls with a fulfilling Girl Scout experience. Assist in providing superior customer service and driving sales and margin in alignment with the financial plan of the retail store and council.

Essential Functions:
Demonstrate and ensure the team provides quality customer service to all customers
Assist in maintaining ongoing stock levels of inventory, ensuring store inventory meets customer demand for council shop, e-commerce site, and trading post as needed.
Assist with merchandise buying, shop and trading post inventory control, order processing, supply monitoring, web order processing, mobile shops, and web site updates.
Assist in maintaining an accurate store inventory and conducting bi-annual physical inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
Assist in effective store merchandising, following Girl Scout Merchandise standards.
Ability to manage and process incoming inventory shipments accurately and ensure inventory is entered into the retail system.
Responsible for invoice management, including ensuring invoices match inventory received and entering invoice details into the accounts payable system.
Supervise Girl Program Interns, including developing tasks and programmatic elements to the role.
Responsible for management of camp Trading Posts during summer camp, including inventory management, staff training and financial reporting.
Responsible for managing and fulfilling the e-commerce site orders, including mailing purchased items to customers, and updating inventory on e-commerce site.
Responsible for cash management and weekly or bi-weekly deposits of cash from retail store and/or Trading Post sales.
Provide on floor customer support, including operating the cash register.
Responsible for daily operations of the retail shop, including daily clean-up, organization of floor merchandise and restocking of shelves and inventory displays.
Assist the Retail Sales Manager and act in that capacity in their absence.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Handle customer concerns in a professional and diplomatic manner.
Willingness to fully participate in staff development opportunities and to take responsibility for self-directed learning.
All other tasks as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of two years’ experience in retail, direct customer service, sales experience/skills, and inventory management.
Ability to work a variety of hours, including evenings, weekends and overnight travel outside of Maricopa County when necessary.
Functional knowledge of retail merchandising, operations and management practices and procedures.
Attitude and behavior consistent with the core competencies, core values, and beliefs of the organization.
Computer literate with knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite and point of sales system.
Effective inter-personal, organizational, communication (written and oral) and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrate the ability to manage money (cash/checks) accurately and follow strict procedures for securing and maintaining safety of same.
Able to immediately recognize and maintain strict confidentiality in all appropriate matters.
Demonstrated customer service-oriented skills and attitude.
Prior exposure to Girl Scouting, with a willingness to continue to learn the Girl Scout program.

Physical Abilities:
Must have a valid AZ driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation.
Ability to lift 50 pounds without difficulty.
Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
Ability to work a variety of hours, including evenings and weekends, as well as overnight travel outside of Maricopa County when necessary.
Ability to work in both inside and outside environmental conditions.
