The role of Assistant Store Manager is a pivotal position in the store's success. In this capacity, you will be responsible for assisting the Store Manager with achieving sales goals while ensuring profitable store operations and providing exceptional customer service. Key responsibilities include: Assisting the Store Manager in meeting or exceeding weekly, monthly, and annual sales budgets Maintaining accurate inventory levels to minimize stockouts and overstocks Recruiting, training, and developing store personnel to ensure a knowledgeable and friendly staff Implementing operational controls to meet company standards To succeed in this role, you should possess: A proven sales background with demonstrated selling skills Success in supervisory roles, preferably in a specialty retail environment Basic math and accounting skills Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays The ideal candidate will have: 1+ years of prior Retail Management experience Prior experience with computerized POS systems Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach with arms Educational requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent. An Associate's Degree or some college education is preferred.
