Overview Blake's Place Caf & Catering is a family-owned business built on passion, quality, and community. Were currently looking for an Assistant Manager to help lead our team and support day-to-day operations with a key focus on the cafe side of the business. This is a hands-on leadership role perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values customer connection, and is eager to grow within a company that treats its team like family. Responsibilities Serve as a key holder, entrusted with opening/closing responsibilities. Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service every guest who walks through our door should feel welcomed and appreciated. Coordinate team breaks and confidently fill in during those times to keep things running smoothly. Assign and inspect sidework; ensure tasks are completed to our standards and team members are properly checked out at the end of their shifts. Accurately count drawers and handle end-of-shift reconciliation. Perform inventory checks on fresh produce and meats. Uphold and enforce the operational standards that make Blakes Place special. Keep team members engaged, accountable, and motivated, working closely under the senior managers.
Qualifications Someone trustworthy and dependable, with leadership instincts and strong follow-through. A customer-first mindset someone who enjoys engaging with people and understands that our guests are the heart of our business. Comfortable taking initiative, asking questions, and stepping in where needed. Prior experience in food service or leadership is a plus, but were willing to train the right candidate.
Position Details Hourly position, 5 shifts per week Includes 2 full-day shifts (10:30amclose) and 3 afternoon/evening shifts (2pmclose) Reports directly to the Senior Managers Opportunities for training in all aspects of the business including catering Employment type: Part-time or Full-time
