Job Title: Assistant Quality Control Manager
Reports to: Quality Control Manager
Summary:
QC Assistant Manager supports the Quality Control Manager in overseeing all inspection, testing, and documentation processes to ensure ATMI products meet company, PCI, and customer standards. This role coordinates daily activities of the QC team, assists in training and mentoring inspectors, and reviews production records to maintain compliance with applicable codes and specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following are included; other duties may be assigned.
- Manage and oversee all operations of the Quality control department, including:
- Quality Control Engineer(s)
- Quality Control Supervisor(s)
- Quality Inspectors
- Implement and sustain new technology or processes to improve the department
- Train and educate Quality Control Inspectors, Supervisors, and/or Engineers
- Ensure that all production practices adhere to the company’s Quality System Manual (QSM)
- Be familiar with PCI MNL 116 & 117, ACI and ASTM standards.
- Navigate job specifications to ensure compliance during production
- Be the leader of the Quality Culture throughout the plant
- Maintain positive improvement from PCI audits
- Manage internal audit schedule and reporting
- Assist with optimization or development of concrete mix designs
- Report to Quality Manager on the status of the quality throughout the company, including, but not limited to:
- Costs
- Quality Reports/Audits; From:
- Plant
- Field
- Engineering
- Processes/Procedures
- Need to acquire ASNT NDT level II
Knowledge/ Skills
- Strong computer skills needed; Microsoft Office and Excel Skills required.
- Good mathematical aptitude
- Ability to read/interpret construction documents and technical journals is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exhibits good work ethic and decision making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Concrete related experience preferred.
- PCI I and II
- 3-5 years of management experience
- Strong leadership skills
- Material testing and laboratory experience a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Must Be able to start at 4 am.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to climb up onto or down from equipment.
- Must be able to climb stairs/ladders and walk lengthy distances in an industrial setting It will be necessary to work in outside conditions that can include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust.
