Overview: Hands on project exposure with focus on client experience, project impact and learning beyond foundational skills. Accountable for APM deliverables and shadowing several advance project activities across a wide variety of tasks related to all phases of project management, including design, construction, permitting, occupancy, quality control, staffing, scheduling, closeout, and budget management. Collaborating with project leadership to understand the full scope of services provided to the client, clearly identifying the cascading impacts of each task.
Location & Client Requirement: Flexibility required to be onsite with several clients in New England and/or CSL Burlington office.
Responsibilities: • Comprehensive Project Understanding: Thorough understanding of all aspects of the project, perfecting person skills leverage SOPs, managers and advisors to ensure you are understanding best practices and supporting the spirit of continuous improvement. Ability to coach junior team members • Client Communication Strategy: Understand the client communication strategy from audience members to messengers, delivery points and appropriate mediums. Understand tools to ensure all team members stay on target and provide necessary updates for a strong client experience. Execute on personal focus areas leaning in to make recommendations for overall client experience. • Documentation Support: Support Project Managers and leadership regarding the documentation of project covering schedules and milestones, clearly identifying roles, responsibilities, and key deliverables across the team. Observing all actives are assigned owners, due dates and clear expectations on the deliverable. Note best practices for tools and how information is saved and shared. • Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Support the gathering of data to populate all reporting of overall project progress monthly relative to goals, requirements, schedules, and budgets for both client and CSL leadership stakeholders. Seek to understand the KPIs, why they are important and what is impacting them and provide recommendations on how to shift based on results. • Contract Management: Understand contract terms and requirement, gain deep understanding to be in compliance and effectively manage initiatives in scope. • Financial Support: Master the overall process of invoices, the importance of details and timing. Executing on key tasks such as change orders from vendors. • Meeting Facilitation: Actively participate in meetings even if this is mainly active listening to achieve an understanding of project progress. Identify patterns and approaches of meeting facilitators to appropriate influence and inform depending on internal or client focused meetings. Witness responses of audience to help shape your facilitation approaches. Identify portions of meetings to own to master facilitation preparation, delivery and follow through. • Stakeholder Interaction: Identify client stakeholders and confirm with project leadership where you will be shadowing and driving the different integration points. Focusing on purpose of interaction, objectives, actions, deliverables and post follow up. Balancing the information with engagement and relationship skills. Ensure you interact with all associated project participants, including user groups, executives, designers, contractors, and vendors for a well balanced experience. • Procurement and Relocation Management: Seek to understand furniture procurement and client relocation processes, engage with vendors per project requirements. • Administrative Support: Develop meeting minutes and correspondence, and support the follow-up of action items to ensure completion
Requirements
Experiences: • Early career stages in industry, typically less than 3 years of experience • Prior skills related to project documentation and reporting. • Proficiency with metrics to learn budget management and financial processes.
Skills: • Customer Service: Passion for delivering exceptional experiences • Strong organizational skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. • Excellent communication skills: Both written and verbal, to interact with various stakeholders. • Attention to detail: Ensuring accuracy in documentation and reporting. • Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify issues and propose solutions. • Tech Savvy: A quick study with all technology such as Microsoft Project, Asana, or similar tools.
