Human Resources Business Unit Director

Locations: Queen, Arkansas; Russellville, Alabama; Sumter, South Carolina; Mt. Pleasant, Texas; Moorefield, West Virginia; Ennis, Texas; Douglas, Georgia; Edinburg, Virginia.
Scope:
The Business Unit HR Directors will be based out of a home facility within their respective business units. They will be responsible for HR generalist needs and results of the plants within their business unit. The BU HR Director will work closely with the Head of Operations, Complex Managers, Complex HR Managers, and operations teams for their area facilities. Estimated travel will be approximately fifty to sixty percent (50%-60%) or as business needs dictate.
Responsibilities:
Communicate, coordinate, and execute PPC strategies and business unit initiatives for their BU facilities.
Through the Complex HR Managers, oversee and ensure communication, coordination, and execution of PPC strategies and initiatives.
Provide counsel to BU facilities HR and Operations management on employee relations, policy, compliance, and legal issues.
Focus on accountability and drive ownership for key performance indicators, including overall performance management.
Oversee the development of talent within the BU facilities, addressing skills and people gaps.
Performance Indicators:
Retention rates in production, maintenance, and management.
Execution of attendance policy to meet absenteeism goals.
No negative findings from regulatory agencies.
Maintain union-free status in non-union facilities.
Talent Management:
Completion of designated training modules.
Maximizing participation in feeder programs (Interns, Trainees, QA, Lead, etc.).
Identification and execution of succession planning.
Impact of community relations initiatives.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field (preferred).
7 to 10 years of HR management experience required.
Multi-site responsibility experience preferred.
Broad knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
General knowledge of benefits and compensation administration.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and HR-SAP.
