Beachwalk Club, a private Club located in Jacksonville/St. John's on CR-210, is expanding our Culinary Team
Job Title: Prep Cook
Job Summary:
As a prep cook, you will be responsible for assisting the kitchen team in preparing ingredients and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Your role is essential in ensuring the efficient flow of operations in the kitchen and the timely delivery of high-quality dishes to customers.
Duties:
-Set up line and heat all hot well product
-Put away deliveries from vendors
-Begin bulk prep items. Cook food as needed for lunch service
-Inform Chef of any items that we are out of
-Help maintain cleanliness of the kitchen
-Make sure line cooks are aware of stock status before leaving.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment preferred but not required. Banquet Experience a Plus.
Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Physical stamina and dexterity to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to learn and take direction from superiors.
Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required for this position. Additional culinary training or certifications may be beneficial but are not always necessary.
Salary:
This is an hourly position. Pay is based on experience. This is a Part Time Position at 30 hours a week.
