Inpatient Pharmacy Technician Inpatient Pharmacy Technician position available at Ascension Via Christi in Wichita, KS. Full-time, day and evening shifts available. 8 hour shifts. Day shift start times between 6am-8am. Evening shift start times between 12pm-3pm. Weekend and holiday rotations required. 4 shifts one week, 5 shifts the other week. 80 hours per pay period. Responsibilities include providing distributive pharmacy services and technical support for the pharmacist, performing activities or tasks in specialty pharmacy services, performing specialized duties such as hazardous drug compounding, medication history, nuclear, and Patient Assistance Program (PAP), refilling and maintaining automated dispensing system, preparing orders, maintaining inventory, and repackaging bulk medications, receiving and storing incoming supplies, serving as a liaison between pharmacy, patient and health professionals, identifying and assisting with patient medication access, assisting pharmacist in preparation of patient education materials, giving immunizations in accordance with state laws, serving as pharmacist extender in situations such as Caregiver Model of the Future responsibilities, monitoring compliance with regulatory standards, and being responsible for inventory and drug shortage management and optimization. Requirements include Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Kansas Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date, Registered Pharmacy Tech OR Pharmacy Intern credentialed from the Kansas Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date, Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date, Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date, High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience.
