The Accountant is an essential member of the Finance and Accounting team and is responsible for overseeing Club expenditures, reconciliations, and data keeping, but is not limited to all aspects of accounting at the Club. The Accountant will partner with the Club Controller, Club Leadership, and the Corporate Finance and Accounting Team. In this role, you will be part of creating an experience for our members and fellow employees. Key Responsibilities Responsible for accounting functions and management of processes and procedures for assigned project(s) in the Club. Ensure financial operations of the Club are compliant with company expectations, processes, and controls. Prepare supporting schedules and journal entries in accordance with monthly reporting. Provide oversight and control of internal financial processes at the projects. Assist in preparation of monthly financial statements for assigned project(s). Maintain and enhance knowledge and competency of company systems, i.e. Jonas, emburse, beanworks, etc. Resource for accounting and system processes and procedures. Audit project use of purchase cards and produce reports. Responsible for project cash management (including preparing check requests, funds transfers, distribution analysis, recording cash receipts, etc.). Back-up for all accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks. Manage project deadlines for billings, month end close, etc. Manage project compliance documents. Perform duties to prescribed accounting deadlines. GAAP/IFRS Accounting for Clubs. Timely reporting of material changes to Management. Work to improve current processes and spreadsheets. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or University, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business, or equivalent. Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of club accounting work-related skill, knowledge and experience is preferred. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel preferred.
